Tenerife is still a top 5 choice for UK holiday makers

The Canary Islands enjoyed a 7.3% increase in passengers during the first month of 2009, which against other popular holiday destinations is great news for this Canary Island and private owners with holiday villas. Tenerife attracted 389,989 visitors.

The climate and attractions including water parks, Loro park are some of the attractions for holiday makers from the UK. More Brits than any other nationality visited Tenerife, followed closely by German and French visitors.

Even with fewer arrivals, the holiday villa and apartment rental industry has not been affected too badly.
