Owners of Carvoeiro holiday rentals excited about new entrance to village

Work has now started on the entrance road to the village of Carvoeiro, part of the redevelopment project which began in January.

The project will include refurbishment of the village’s roads and construction of a cycle path between Lagoa and Carvoeiro. Private owners of holiday villas in Carvoeiro are looking forward to offering holidaymakers the new cycle path as another activity available in this lovely resort village.

New telephone infrastructures, water drainage systems and electricity delivery methods will also be upgraded as part of the project. Work on the road is expected to last for around 3 months and will provide drivers and pedestrians with improved safety.

Road works along the Rua dos Pescadores are due to be completed by the end of March 2009. Once complete, works on the Rua do Barranco are due to start in April.
