September Fiestas in a Spanish Villa or Apartment holiday
If you have already booked your villa in Spain for September this year, or are still thinking about a last minute holiday to Spain, then don't forget to try and take in some of the local traditions by way of a Spanish Festival.
The town of Jerez de la Frontera opens it's gates on the first Saturday of September for the harvest of it's wine with the Jerez sherry festival. The festival in Jerez, or Fiestas de Otoño as it is known locally, is a three week celebration and open to locals and visitors to the area. Those staying in a holiday rental in Jerez de la Frontera are sure to have a wonderful time.
For wine lovers, the Fiesta de San Mateo is located in the Rioja wine region.
Catalunya celebrates Cava week during September in Spain, a festival dedicated to the fine Catalan version of champagne.
If you are staying in an apartment or villa in Northern Spain, why not visit the Festes de la Merce near the city of Barcelona.
If you like Paella, then head to the town of Sueca near Valencia as the Fiesta del Arroz gets underway.
The town of Ronda celebrates during the first week of September as it sees the 'Feria Goyesca de Pedro Romero'. Everyone in the town and local matadors dress in 18th century costumes and enjoy bullfighting all weekend.
