Cyprus villa holidays are an excellent base for exploring the island

If you are staying in a Cyprus villa this summer then why not visit the newly discovered 4,000 year old temple.

Expert Maria Rosaria told Associated Press, "This confirms that religious worship in Cyprus began much earlier than previously believed". This is one of the many places to visit in Cyprus, which also offers a long history with historical artefacts over 9,000 years old. One of the most famous places to visit is Aphrodite's rock where it is said that the goddess emerged from out of the sea.

Remnants from Roman settlements and Greek temples can be found all over the island so staying in self catering accommodation in a villa in Cyprus makes this an excellent base to explore.
